Do you know the secret to a good podcast?...

Wow!  October flew right by! We enjoyed a family vacation and a visit from my favorite US Marine (yeah, that’s my son – proud Mom over here!💗). It was a whirlwind of fun and laughs!  While it’s well past peak foliage here in Boston, it’s still beautiful weather with crisp nights and warm days.  It’s my favorite time of the year!

I’m working on lots of content over the next few months, so it’s been a busy time behind the scenes here as well.  My goal is to help anyone who wants to podcast to have that knowledge to do so.  You’ll see me talking about a few summits, courses, and more in the coming months.  But until then, I’ve got some GREAT tips each week for you right here in the newsletter.

Thank you!  Thank you for opening this and wanting to be a part of my community.  I appreciate you!

Weekly Inspiration

Consistency is the key to any podcast. You may think you have low numbers on your downloads but keep at it. Show up to your show on a consistent basis and tell them why they should keep coming back for more of you.

Having a podcast automatically puts that know, like, and trust factor into your brand, right? They are listening to you and if they are coming back for more, they like you and they trust you, right? Don’t make it hard for them to know you by being inconsistent.

Podcast Spotlight

We love podcasts. Each week check here for episodes we loved this week. This may be a client spotlight – or just one we really loved!

This week, I’m introducing you to Val Selby. Val is a coach for female entrepreneurs.  She helps them build communities of raving fans that crave your expertise.  She is a true believer in mindset over all and goes into that in this week’s spotlight episode.
To Plan ot Not to Plan Val Selby Podcast Episode

Struggling with finding the balance between jumping into new projects and taking the time to plan? You’re not alone. Sometimes you need to have that time to regroup, recharge and recoup. Having that downtime can lead to amazing ideas. Whether you decide to jump on those ideas or plan them out can lead you on very different paths. But is there a right way or a wrong way?

In this episode, Val talks about her journey of becoming more aware of her need for downtime and how that has changed her business plans. Changing business plans doesn’t always mean changing websites, email addresses, and socials – it may just mean that you need to pay attention to where you are going and feel the steps to move forward to make the best decisions for you and your business. Listen in as Val talks to you about whether you need to plan or not plan…

Podcasting Tip

Keep your episodes to the point.

If you (or your guest) go off-topic, then steer the conversation back – and don’t be afraid to edit out portions that don’t fit.

You don’t want to lose a listener because your episode got ‘boring’ or too ‘wordy’. And remember, your episodes don’t have to be the same length each week, it’s more important that they are full of great consumable content. Keep those listeners wanting more!
