Integrating Brand Alignment for Sustainable Growth
When was the last time you paused long enough to ask, “Is my brand still aligned with who I am now?”
For many spiritual women entrepreneurs, business growth doesn’t just happen through strategy—it unfolds through reflection, awareness, and a willingness to evolve. This week, I took my own advice. After my conversation with Laurie Bains from Just BU Creative, I spent time working through her Brand Clarity Scorecard, a simple yet powerful tool designed to reveal where your brand is rooted in truth—and where it may need realignment.
What I discovered was equal parts affirmation and awakening.
Rooting Into Vision and Reflection
Laurie’s first phase, Root and Reflect, begins with vision. It asks: What do you want to be known for, and where are you going?
For me, that answer came easily: I help soul-led women entrepreneurs grow their podcasts and businesses through their magnetic voices. I want women to be seen, heard, loved, and trusted—because of the stories and wisdom they share.
But even with that clarity, reflection revealed growth. My brand has evolved from virtual assistant and OBM work into full focus on podcast growth. The shift wasn’t overnight—it happened gradually, the way our souls lead us toward deeper purpose.
The scorecard also prompted me to consider my brand mirror—how my energy reflects outward. As a Human Design Projector, my natural pace is steady and intentional. Podcasting mirrors that perfectly. It’s not a quick-fix business tool; it’s a slow burn, a long game that rewards consistency. I realized my calm, methodical energy is a strength, not a limitation—and that my brand can reflect that grounded approach.
Aligning and Activating
The second phase of the scorecard, Align and Activate, asked me to audit my brand ecosystem: my offers, content, and client journey. This section illuminated where alignment was strong—and where it wasn’t.
My two-week offers (Podcast Growth and Podcast Rebrand) feel energetically perfect. They’re short, powerful, and sustainable. But my three-month program, while effective for clients, often left me drained. That insight reminded me that alignment isn’t only about what works for others—it’s about what works for me.
The exercise also revealed how much I love my membership and the potential it holds. For now, it’s available only to those who complete one of my programs, but I’m envisioning ways to open it to more women. Reflection creates expansion—it helps you see what’s possible next.
Laurie’s framework also asked for clarity on audience, results, and core themes. My audience remains women 45+ who have honed their craft and are ready to amplify their visibility. My results are deeper confidence, clarity, and sustainable growth through podcasting. My core themes are magnetic visibility, authentic expression, and sacred strategy—the foundations of what I teach and embody.
Expressing and Embodying
The final phase, Express and Embody, is where your inner alignment meets outer expression. This is where design, visuals, and energetic branding merge.
I’m deeply proud of my current brand aesthetic—black, white, and teal, clean fonts, and personal imagery that feels approachable and real. My logo, with its moon phases and podcast waves, reflects both intuition and communication. Yet I also realized it could be bolder, more visible, more easily recognized. That small awareness inspired me to revisit my design with fresh eyes.
What I love most about this process is that it’s not about perfection—it’s about progress. It’s not about scrapping everything and starting over—it’s about making subtle, intentional shifts that better express who you’ve become.
The Power of Integration
Working through this scorecard wasn’t a business exercise—it was a mirror. It reminded me that alignment isn’t something you “fix” once. It’s something you practice.
We’re allowed to outgrow old offers. We’re allowed to adjust visuals that no longer match our vibration. We’re allowed to evolve.
If you’ve been feeling that quiet tug that something in your brand doesn’t fit quite right anymore, consider that your invitation to pause, reflect, and realign.
Because when your brand is rooted in your truth and expressed from your current energy, it naturally attracts the clients who are meant to walk beside you.

[00:00:00] Hello and welcome back to Podcasting for Spiritual Women. I’m Kim Parkinson, and today I have a unusual episode, so if you listened last week. We had on Laurie Bains from just BU Creative, and she kind of walked us through some of her tips and tricks about branding and personal branding, business branding, and all of those fun things in regards to branding that are not just your fonts and your colors and your logo.
And she gave us a freebie. The freebie that she offered us is the scorecard, and if you are on her website, that’s just bu creative.com, you’ll find the scorecard at the bottom of that page. Now I took that brand clarity scorecard. I [00:01:00] am going to give you a little bit of reflection of what I found for my own business because you know, so often we take in some amazing advice, but we just don’t pause and integrate it, right?
So today. Let’s, let’s take a look at what that looks like. So, in her brand clarity scorecard, not only does she have a scorecard at the end of it, but she kind of gives you a couple of different sections. And the first one is root and reflect. And so I actually did take a really good look at this. I, one of the first questions was defining my vision.
Right, and I, I really do believe that the vision of helping soul led women entrepreneurs with their messaging and their podcast grow their businesses is really still what I’m all about. I am really [00:02:00] about helping the, the spiritual woman, the spiritual business woman to actually grow. Using their voice, using the methodologies that they already teach, using what they know because they have lived right.
We’ve all lived, and I want them to really grow magnetic, and I want them to really call in the clients that belong in their world. So the second part of that was first. First, that part was to actually take a look at your vision, and so I did, and I think my vision still is pretty aligned. I definitely could see where I could shift a little.
I think my vision has changed over the years. I used to be not just a podcast. A producer, but I was an OBM and I also [00:03:00] was just a VA for some people. And while I still, you know, will occasionally do that for clients that I’ve had for a long time, I really have shifted to more of podcast growth. And so again, I’m actually not doing the production side as often.
And I’m not doing any of the VA or the OBM stuff as often. I’m really more focused on that podcast growth. So my vision from maybe last year at this time has changed. It absolutely has changed, but I would say my vision from maybe six months ago where I thought about this and actually did do the little shift to podcast growth.
Is actually still aligned, so I’m happy that I am along the same lines, even six months later. Also happy that I had some growth from last year and some clarity from last year. Right? So this is definitely gives you that [00:04:00] perspective of, you know, what did you do last year as opposed to this year? And, hey, I, I have grown, I have changed.
And yeah, my vision is more pinpointed, more clear, and then. The other thing that she wants to talk about is your brand mirror and a reflection of that and whether or not you are being seen as. Or how you are being seen in the world. Right? And so for me, I believe I’ve told you before, I’m a five one human design projector.
And if you know anything about projectors, they have the vision, they have the beacon of light for people, but they’re not always really great at the doing. Right? I mean, I, and not even to say that I do do, but. I’m much more pinpointed, much more clear on helping other people with their businesses, right, with their [00:05:00] things.
And this is kind of along the same lines with my, with podcasting, right? So here I am thinking about this and podcasting isn’t a fast. Fix, right? I’m not a fast fix kind of gal. I go to Universal Studios with my sister and my husband and my niece and my son, and I’m just moping along. I’m just walking the walk and that’s because I’m just, I got a pace and my pace maybe isn’t super fast, but you know what that is.
Podcasting pace. Now I would say. Some people might say, I would like my podcast to grow super quick. I do have a client. I want my podcast to grow super quick, but it’s not always about that. Now I have another former client that I still see her stats, and every time I see them come across, I. I just [00:06:00] hooray her.
I just, in my head, I’m like, yes, good for you. Because literally she was pulling in maybe seven to 10, maybe 15 downloads per week. And the email I got today from Buzz bro said that this past week she pulled in 193 downloads and all she did was follow a little bit of the guidance that I gave her and. It has taken some time.
It’s not a quick fix. She started these changes in June and July and here it is October, and we’re now seeing the fruits of that labor happen, and so. Podcasting isn’t always a quick fix. It sometimes is a slow burn. It is a slow build, and once you get that momentum going with consistency, with clarity, with people seeing [00:07:00] you too, with you posting, you know, the newsletters, or maybe you’re posting in the different groups, you are doing the podcast guesting, you can’t just.
Put your podcast up there organically and say, you know what? I’m done. I’m, this is gonna work. And so this really, this really got me thinking here when I, when I did this exercise with Lori’s scorecard that. I am a reflection of this. I am a little bit more like methodical, like I am. I’m gonna be like, tell you this is how it works.
And then we have to wait and see and if it’s not working, small tweaks happen and then we wait and see. It’s not a quick fix and I’m not a quick fix type of person. So consistency and calm energy are really what? Brings me home and yeah, so when I did [00:08:00] this, this little reflection, I realized that I am embodying that completely.
So I love that. Now she does go into a couple of other pieces here, and I don’t wanna go into everything because I, you know, I want you to take her her scorecard as well, if you feel so interested. But I do know that if you do feel like your brand is not aligned with who you are now, then maybe just a little bit of pausing and reflection is really what you need to do.
And those pauses and those reflections again aren’t, as Lori mentioned last week, aren’t about just your colors, your fonts, and your imagery. It is about. The vision, the mission, what it is that you are calling in, what is that reflection of you that people are seeing? So phase two of this brand Clarity [00:09:00] scorecard, I actually had a, something that was not in the yes column.
I actually felt like I had two of them because the first one, the first question she asks is about your offers, your brand ecosystem. Do you feel like your offers are aligned with what you’re doing now and what is aligned, what isn’t aligned? I have a 14 day, uh, two week podcast growth and rebrand offers, and I love them.
I feel like they’re a really quick way to get people to get a few things done that will have lasting effect now. Knowing that the other thing I mentioned just before is that it isn’t a quick fix. It is a long game, right? And so I do have a three month program, but here’s the thing about the three month program, even though I love the three month program that I offer, and I have a [00:10:00] client that absolutely loves it.
Hello there. If you’re listening and I just wanna mention that. I love meeting with the client. I love going over the different steps they need to either grow their business or grow their show. Or enhance their show in some way. Meet those pieces in the middle, get all those pieces together so that they can start growing and really advertising and getting those things getting going.
But what I notice in this shift when I reflected on this, is that the three month program we’re doing, doing, doing, doing, but then there’s not any. Like wait time there, right? Whereas the two weeks we finish it and then maybe three months later is kind of like a, I’m gonna go back and say, Hey, how, how are we doing?
Are you being consistent with your posting? Are you being consistent with your episodes? [00:11:00] How are your episode titles coming along? Are people, do you, are you seeing more people? If not, maybe let’s try something different. Whereas when I have the three month program, we are consistently every week doing something and so you don’t see it.
It’s like seeing the forest through the trees, right? You can’t see those. And so I feel like with my three month program, maybe I need to have a reflection period. So that was kind of interesting. I really felt like I kinda stepped back and took a look at what she mentioned about being aligned and I think I’m gonna work on that.
Make sure that I have that little bit of, you know, maybe it is. We do the three month program, we, you know, maybe have some things in that continuously moves along, but then the next three month program is three months after that, or two week program even. And that will then be a reflection of how did we do in the [00:12:00] first three months?
What tweaks do we need to make? What changes do we need to do? You know, just a few things there. So I absolutely loved that. It made me really sit back and think about what it is that’s shifting within me and shifting within my programs. And it also, you know, like I also knew that I didn’t really wanna bring on a ton more production clients.
Production takes a while. You know, I’m, I’m not one of those people to just do simple, quick, easy production. I really listen to every single episode. I edit every single episode, and so that takes a lot of time. And again, as a human design projector, I’m not really interested in working at my desk for eight hours a day just doing editing.
So. It’s very interesting that that has, um, been brought up for me, and I loved that her scorecard [00:13:00] really made me reflect and think about this. Another thing that is evolving is my membership. Now, I, I only currently offer my membership to people that have gone through the two week or the three month program.
Once you are in that program, you can then continue in the membership for a low membership fee. Or you can, you, you get that for a couple months or whatever it might be, um, depending on, on what we’re working on. So. I would like to evolve that membership to be open to a lot more people. But right now, um, you know, again, just sitting back and thinking about this brand and thinking about the clarity here, I realize that I do want to open it up to more people, but I think I want more.
Information in it first, so I’m still building it out and yeah, I’m gonna, I’m gonna work on that. So I, I love, again, I [00:14:00] love that it has really led me to the, the thinking and the reflection. Of what my brand is, is going for. Now, there are other questions in here. Like she wanted to know, like your audience, and I already know that my audience typically is 45 plus.
They’re soul led women. They have established programs of some kind, and they have a voice. They, well, everybody has a voice, hopefully, or they have a voice. They have information that they want to share with the world, so that’s super important. And then my results are, you know, confidence. My results are clarity.
My confidence is visibility through podcasting, and I am walking the walk and talking the talk, right? So I have a podcast, I’m my own client. I’m doing all of that. So, yeah, I really feel like in phase two of her brand clarity scorecard, I, I really did excel, [00:15:00] but. I also had some things that I needed to reflect on, so I loved, again, I loved that it felt expansive and that I could, I could kind of give an idea of what was draining my energy and what maybe needs to just be tweaked just a little bit to find just a better solution for everyone.
All right. And then the last phase is express and embody. And this does talk about the visuals, right? This does talk about your brand colors, your brand fonts, your brand logo. And I think for me, I felt like these were all yeses. I really, I love my colors, I love my logo. I love my, the fact that I use my imagery.
I have some branded, um. Images of myself, some photos of myself that I use across all of the different social media platforms. And so I really do feel like that’s [00:16:00] simplified. Now, the one thing I did reflect on here is that maybe my logo could be a little more old. I do feel like my logo has a tendency to not be as visible as I would like it to be, and so that’s.
Again, it was just a reflection on what is going on in my brand and without. The, the scorecard in front of me and actually wanting to implement what Lori’s suggestions were, I maybe would not have realized some of these pieces or maybe would not have brought it forefront in my mind. It might have been something like, oh yeah, that logo, I need to fix it, but it would’ve been a fleeting idea, whereas now it’s more like, ah, yes.
I can see now that within my brand, perhaps the lines of my logo need to be bolder, need to be a little bit more [00:17:00] prominent so that they can be easier to be seen and rec more recognizable. Right? So. Overall, I really felt like her brand clarity scorecard was really informative. It really gave me some clarity and some power behind that clarity.
I know now what is aligned and. I know that there are a few things that I tweaked and a few things that I need to tweak and you know, it’s okay. It’s okay to evolve. It’s okay to know that sometimes not everything is where it needs to be, but you know, we’re always growing, we’re always expanding, and to have.
Thoughts and to have this scorecard right here in front of me, it’s just really something kind of magical so that I can now reflect on this even, you know, while I’m doing the dishes or while I’m just, you know, sitting down meditating, I [00:18:00] can actually have this come to the forefront and what can I do to just make that just.
A tiny bit better, a tiny bit more aligned with me, with my clients, with my mission, with my values. So overall, I just wanted to kind of do this little implementation integration episode and really just kind of bring all of this. To you because you know, I can interview people and sometimes you will go ahead and you’ll listen to it.
But then are you going to follow up? Is, was it worth it? Is that freebie or that offer that she had, was that actually something that. Was worthwhile. And so these episodes are kind of like a behind the scenes of Yes. I really loved this. I really loved going over the brand clarity scorecard. I really [00:19:00] had a lot of reflection.
It actually, while the episode with Lori, I think we recorded it in early September. I’m actually not recording this until. N beginning of October because it took me that long to really go through it and to really make sure that I had everything that I needed and that. It was aligned with who I am, what I’m doing, and who I’m doing it for.
So I am so thrilled and I really hope that if you haven’t listened to last week’s episode, that’s episode 0 2 9 with Lori Baines of Jess Bu Creative. And I highly recommend that you go and you download her scorecard and you go ahead and do the reflection prompts and really figure out if your brand is aligned with not only yourself, your values and your [00:20:00] offers, but with the clients that you are serving.
So until next week, I will look forward to talking to you again soon. And remember, we’re your brand.
And remember where your voice flows, your business grows. Until next time, I am Kim Parkinson and you’re listening to Podcasting for Spiritual Women. See you soon. I.
