Hello Beautiful!
I started this email in the truck on the way to Maine but not sure what happened to it – this morning, it’s gone. I guess I shouldn’t start newsletters on my phone! I’m currently sitting in the kitchen overlooking beautiful Lake Keewaydin in Maine. Fun fact: Lake Keewaydin was mentioned in Stephen King’s book Bag of Bones. Nothing too nefarious, but there’s a mention!
This ‘camp’ on the lake has been in my family for generations. And my oldest son is now a 5th-generation owner (partial owner but still an owner), so I’ve been coming here my whole life and will continue to come up for the rest of it, too! How awesome is that! It’s beautiful, serene, and now has Wifi, thus this newsletter. If you are my Facebook friend, check out my stories – I already posted a pic!
This newsletter is lovingly sponsored by ME!

Let’s talk about guest episodes, when they support your vision and when they quietly derail your message and authority.
Bringing on a guest is a beautiful way to share new insights with your audience. It gives them the spotlight for a moment and gives you a little breather from content creation. But just like chocolate (or dairy for me), too much of a good thing can throw things off balance.
Here’s what I mean.
This is your podcast. Whether you are paying for hosting, editing, or spending your time each week to create content, your energy and resources are being invested. And that investment is meant to showcase your expertise and your voice.
Now, let’s say you bring on a guest. They share great tips, maybe even promote their program or podcast. Your audience loves it. That is great. But then you invite another guest. And another. And before you know it, your episodes are full of other people’s stories, offers, and teachings.
Suddenly, the path to your offers is unclear. Your voice fades. You are pouring energy into a show that is building someone else’s business.
Let’s fix that.
✨ Try a coaching episode. These let your listeners experience what it is like to work with you and also give your guest a moment to shine. It is a win for both of you, and you remain the guide.
✨ Solo episodes are powerful. They do not have to be long. Short and insightful is perfect. Even when I think I do not have time for long episodes, I sometimes find myself 45 minutes into my coach’s show without realizing it. If the content is valuable, people will stay. A little Nirvana quote for you – “Here we are now, entertain us.” They are there for you – showcase YOU!
✨ Guest episodes? Use them intentionally. If you publish weekly, one guest per month is plenty. I have not brought one on yet, I want to make sure that if I do, they are the right fit and bring real value to you.
Your voice is the reason people tune in. Let your podcast be the clearest and most aligned expression of your work. Do not give that spotlight away.

🤩Client Testimonial of the week: Jessica Rosario-Fortis, co-host of the podcast Married to the Hustle: Faith, Love, and Business for Entrepreneurial Couples, popped in this week with this amazing testimonial. We took two podcasts, made them into one, and scheduled out episodes through October. What a relief for her! This is what she shared about working with me:
“I can’t recommend Kim Parkinson from KP Creative Media enough! I came to her with two separate podcasts—one I was winding down—and she worked her magic to repurpose that content into an incredible Throwback Series for my active podcast.
She didn’t just merge content—she streamlined the entire production process in ways I didn’t even know were possible. From editing and scheduling to updating keywords and organizing it all for maximum impact, Kim helped me breathe new life into my podcast with ease and excellence.
Her professionalism, creativity, and systems-driven approach made all the difference. I’m so grateful for what we were able to accomplish together in such a short time.
If you’re looking to elevate your podcast with less stress and more strategy, Kim is your go-to!”
➡️If you are ready to get some help with your podcast. Grab a spot on my calendar with a Podcast Growth Clarity Call, and we can talk about working together.
